Sorry to my blog readers (all two of you :) I have disappeared as of late behind a blur of Christmas activities. Yesterday I posted on my facebook that I was yuletired [thinking myself creative....come to find out that is already a real word. Oh well... nothing new under the sun, right?]

Anyways, last time I checked, Christmas was supposed to be a holiday, which by definition is a vacation or leisure day from work, but unfortunately has turned into quite the opposite. It should be a time to pause and reflect on the birth of our savior and all the blessings God has given us in the last year. But I must admit, I've never been so tired in all my life! Just this week I have had a Christmas party at least once (often twice) a day. I bought and wrapped over a hundred gifts for kids. I baked 100 loaves of pumpkin bread. I handed out 300 candy canes and cut 200 pieces of birthday cake for Jesus. And I find myself wishing maybe we could spread out the cheer throughout the year, like proverbs says...have a 'continual feast'.

Why do we have to cram it all into a few weeks of the year? Apparently you only have a 2 week window to show all your appreciation to the people in your life...your mailman, your kid's teacher, the newspaper boy, your coworkers, your great aunt, your neighbor's dog...
Why can't we have a cookie exchange in March? Not much going on there.
Why can't we have an office party in May? Whaddya say?
I make a motion to spread out the fun and save our sanity by not giving into the madness.
Maybe its possible to show someone we appreciate them in September.
Maybe we can feed hungry kids the rest of the year too.

you have been busy! and i was just saying that throwing a big birthday party right before christmas was too much work since i am now not prepared for christmas!

...My screen saver didn't come on and the screen went black and said something like 'video driver and 3-D wasn't up to date', so I went to Intel and updated driver and ran some kind of program. My Avira Anti virus come up saying I had malware, I cleaned it. Checked to see if my screen saver came up, it didn't. So I tried system restore, didn't work. restored for an earlier time, didn't work. What is wrong and how can I fix it...without using my recovery disks which it looks like i will have to do. I've used recovery several times (E-Machines 7-disk recovery) cause people have got on here and got viruses on here. I feel doing Recovery so many times is straining my computer and I don't want to keep doing it. Should I just get another motherboard?
