Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. There's a lot of other things you could be doing right now...like cleaning, or watching a movie, or writing your own blog. But you chose to spend your time reading mine. For this I thank you! (Hopefully this doesn't make you rethink your decision :)

“Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares?” Proverbs 5:16

One night I came home from work in a hurry. I was performing in a musical that night and had only twenty minutes to shower and dress and be out the door. My apartment had this ridiculously tiny bathroom sink that held about 4 cups of water at best. I remember quickly brushing my teeth and jumping in the shower...my mind intensely focused on my lines in the show and making it there in time. I spent longer in the shower than I should have.... given the amount of time, but you know how hard it is to get out when you’re under the warm water! I shut off the shower and, strangely, still heard water flowing. “That’s odd”, I thought. I looked down at the tub and the water was off. I pulled open the shower curtain to a horrifying scene of water gushing out of the bathroom sink and quickly filling the tiny bathroom. Apparently when I was brushing my teeth I had left the sink on and didn’t hear it running because I had already turned the shower on (to save time of course, great multitasking!) And no, it wasn’t just trickling down---I never do anything half way. The water was on full blast and there was literally 2 feet of water in the bathroom. My roommate came home as I was standing there knee deep in the middle of my bathroom scooping buckets of water into the tub. “Don’t ask!” I said.
