Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. There's a lot of other things you could be doing right now...like cleaning, or watching a movie, or writing your own blog. But you chose to spend your time reading mine. For this I thank you! (Hopefully this doesn't make you rethink your decision :)

“Even a child is known by his actions”. Proverbs 20:11

I always loved the show ‘Kids Say the Darndest Things’. Every week in my life is like that show. Those are the cute moments-- in between the tantrums and time outs—when kids just make you laugh. I remember asking one time,
“Who knows the capital of Massachusetts?”
To which a little girl said, “Capital M?”
Very good. “Does anybody know an example of a sin?”
“Sneaking up on people.” Okay, I guess that’ll work.
And then there was the time I asked the kids, “What would you say to a friend who wants to know how to get to heaven?”
A boy in the back raised his hand and answered honestly, “I’d tell them to Google it.”
Prayer requests are my favorite. I’ve heard things like “Dear God, please give wisdom to all the people who are building the Nickelodeon Hotel in Orlando. Amen”.
Hmmm...Random.
Another day I was standing next to a mother in the back while her son prayed,
“Dear God, please help my mother to quit smoking”.
She turned to me and whispered “I’ve never smoked a cigarette a day in my life”.
And in a moment of sincerity an older girl said, “Please pray for my mom because she just lost her baby”. The preschool girl sitting next to me whispered, “Can’t we go help her mom find it?”

It’s that innocence that I love.
